P!nk And Eminem Reunite And Wreak Havoc On New Song ‘Revenge’

[ad_1]

Eminem’s been on a tear recently. Everyone’s talking about his Trump-blasting BET Cypher this week, while rumors of his highly anticipated ninth album continue to swirl. Now, he’s popped up again on a vengeful pop-rap collab from P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma, out today (October 13).

On “Revenge,” Em and P!nk seek retribution from their no-good, cheating exes. “I’m daydreamin’, let me count the ways / How I’ll get you or how I’ll make you pay / Babe, I’m hurtin’ and now you’ll feel the same,” P!nk casually sings over a bouncy instrumental that wouldn’t sound out of place on early Eminem albums. The rapper comes in later with an uncharacteristically laid-back verse, rhyming, “So when you’re driving, driving to his house / And you pass me while I’m driving to hers / Just remember, you cheated on me first / You’re a whore, you’re a whore, this is war.”

“Revenge” follows the duo’s previous collaborations: 2010’s “Won’t Back Down” and 2012’s “Here Comes the Weekend.” P!nk told Entertainment Weekly that Eminem’s involvement on “Revenge” was the result of some serious liquid courage.

“Max [Martin] and I started making [‘Revenge’], and I wrote this rap,” she said. “We were drinking a lot of wine, and then I went home and I thought more wine would be a good idea. I emailed [Eminem]. And I said, ‘You know I love you. I like that you work with a lot of the same people, like Rihanna. She’s hotter than me, but I’m funnier. So I’m going for a rap Grammy, and I’d like to take you along with me.’ It was this long email, and he wrote back right away and just said, ‘Okay.’”

Eminem sent his verse back four days later, and the rest is Grammy-aspiring history.

Kid Rock vs. Eminem: Will music stars compete for Senate seat?

[ad_1]

Rapper Eminem’s brutal takedown of President Donald Trump in a freestyle rap Tuesday has sparked calls from his fans to challenge Trump supporter Kid Rock to a rap battle — or even a run for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.

The two music stars hail from the same area outside Detroit that has been a hot political battleground in recent years, yet their views seem to vary widely on many issues.

Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers, made an appearance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards and performed a profanity-laden freestyle rap attacking the president. He rapped how Trump could cause “nuclear holocaust,” called him “orange,” and said racism was the “only good thing he’s good for.”

“We better give Obama props, because what we got in [office] now is a kamikaze that will probably cause a nuclear holocaust,” Eminem rapped. “He’s going to lower our taxes. Then who’s going to pay for his extravagant trips back and forth with his family to his golf resorts and his mansions? Same s— that he tormented Hillary for and he slandered then does it more.”

Hip hop fans quickly drew a contrast between Eminem and Kid Rock, the diehard Trump backer who has floated the idea of running for the U.S. Senate.

In September, Kid Rock delivered a profane speech reportedly attacking former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick for refusing to stand during the national anthem. Rock also published a Facebook post slamming “the extreme left” for accusing him of bigotry despite his history of philanthropy in Detroit.

And just last week, Rock made another political speech during a concert at the Fish Fry festival in Nashville, talking about the Las Vegas massacre and honoring U.S. service members and the American flag.

“It’s just a show of true testimony that – everybody being here and all the love in this place tonight – that nobody’s scared to come out,” Rock said, Rolling Stone magazine reported.

The outspokenness of the two stars, and their common connection to Michigan, has many fans calling for a politically charged rap battle or, less seriously, a showdown in a U.S. Senate race.

Their home turf — Detroit’s suburban Macomb County – is a source of constant fascination for pollsters and pundits trying to take the pulse of white Middle America, Politico reported.

The county is heavily working class and its voters comfortably backed the Democratic Party in the 1960s. But with increasing cultural alienation, the county flipped to being Republicans, giving birth to the “Reagan Democrats” — those who favor the social values of the GOP but prefer Democratic economic policies.

Trump won the county during the 2016 presidential election and carried the state of Michigan.

In 2004, Donald Trump ‘Endorsed’ Eminem For President: Watch

[ad_1]

It’s the viral moment everyone’s talking about: During the BET Hip Hop Awards Tuesday night (October 10), Eminem, to put it politely, ripped President Donald Trump a new one in a scathing freestyle called “The Storm.” The Detroit rapper has made it abundantly clear that he “fucking hates” Trump, but, believe it or not, the two were once on friendly terms.

In the wake of Eminem’s freestyle, MTV has resurfaced a clip from the 2004 “Shady National Convention,” a mock political rally that celebrated Em’s satellite radio channel. The video shows Trump — who was, at the time, best known as the host of The Apprentice — giving a fired-up endorsement speech for “presidential candidate” Eminem.

“When the Shady Party called and told me there’s going to be a convention, I said, it’s got to be a really big one and it’s got to be right here in New York,” Trump said at the start of his speech. “Because this is the best city anywhere in the world, am I right? Of course I’m right. I’m always right. I’m Donald Trump, I’m always right.”

He continued, “I know a winner when I see one. And Donald Trump is telling you right now, Slim Shady is a winner. He’s got brains. He’s got guts. And he’s got Donald Trump’s vote. Ladies and gentlemen, our great candidate, Slim Shady!”

In hindsight, the whole thing is a frightening look into the future — Trump’s insistence that he’s “always right” certainly hasn’t wavered a bit — but we have to think he’d revoke that endorsement now.

The Internet Showered Eminem With Fire Emojis For His Trump Freestyle

[ad_1]

Eminem just laid down a ridiculous fire freestyle at BET’s 2017 Hip Hop Awards. The verses burnt so brightly hey could even give Donald Trump a darker tan from thousands of miles away as Em repeatedly slammed into the president for pretty much existing. In a dark parking garage, hood up, Marshall Mathers paced angrily, but with purpose, calling out every possible hypocrisy made by Trump. In other words, it was a long cypher, clocking in at almost five minutes long.

“Same ish he slandered and tortured Hillary for, he gets in office and does it more,” Em growled as the veins in his neck bulged.

“Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing in the sand a line—you’re either for or against. And if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for you with this: f*ck you.”

Now you can only imagine Donald Trump figuring out a way for Mike Pence to attend the next Eminem concert, just to have him walk out immediately. Anyway, Twitter is going nuts over the freestyle, which will go down as one of the most legendary performances of Em’s great career.

But then, Slim “has Donald Trump’s vote.”

[ad_1]

Eminem is expressing his views on President Donald Trump with help from a newly released freestyle rap.

In a taped segment that aired tonight on the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, the Grammy winner appeared in a downtown Detroit parking garage where he voiced his disapproval towards the Commander in Chief.

“When he attacks the NFL so we focus on that / Instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada,” he raps. “All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather / Cause a twitter storm with the Packers.”

Eminem continues, “Then says he wants to lower our taxes / Then who’s gonna pay for his extravagant trips / Back and forth with fam to his golf resorts and mansions?”

The rapper goes on to question President Trump’s endorsement of former chief strategist Steve Bannon and his controversial words to Senator John McCain.

“Now, if you’re a black athlete / You’re a spoiled little brat / For tryna use your platform or your stature / To try to give those a voice who don’t have one,” Eminem continued to rap. “He says, ‘You’re spittin’ in the face of vets who fought for us, you bastards’ / Unless, you’re a POW who was tortured and battered / ‘Cause to him, you’re zeros / ‘Cause he don’t like his war heroes captured / That’s not disrespecting the military.”

This isn’t the first time Eminem has voiced his disapproval for President Trump.

Last fall, the man behind huge hits including “The Real Slim Shade” and “Lose Yourself” made a track called “Campaign Speech” that including lines about the then Republican nominee.

Most recently, the Detroit rapper led U.K. audiences last month in anti-Trump protests.

The 2017 Hip Hop Awards hosted by DJ Khaled airs Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on BET.

Eminem attacks Trump in freestyle rap at BET Hip Hop Awards

[ad_1]

Eminem has brutally criticised US President Donald Trump in a new video.

The rapper calls him a “racist 94-year-old grandpa” and slammed fans who back the president during a four-and-half minute freestyle.

“Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing in the sand a line, you’re either for or against,” he raps in the film, shown during last night’s BET Hip Hop Awards.

Twitter users can’t wait to see whether Mr Trump will respond.

In the video for freestyle The Storm, Eminem is shown in a car park, stepping towards the camera to rap directly to viewers.

“If you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for you with this,” he says, raising a middle finger.

The 44-year-old slams Trump for focusing on NFL players who “take a knee“, and causing drama on social media.

“This is his form of distraction, plus he gets an enormous reaction when he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada,” he says.

“All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers.”

The rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, also calls the president racist.

“Racism’s the only thing he’s Fantastic 4 cause that’s how he gets his rock off, he’s orange.”

And he praises former president Barack Obama.

“We better give Obama props ’cause what we got in office now is a kamikaze that will probably cause a nuclear holocaust while the drama pops,” he says.

American footballer Colin Kaepernick, basketball player LeBron James, Snoop Dogg and J. Cole are among those tweeting their appreciation for the freestyle.

But it didn’t go down well with everyone.

This isn’t the first time the Detroit rapper has criticised Mr Trump.

Last year he released the nine-minute freestyle Campaign Speech in which he calls the president a “loose cannon” who “doesn’t have to answer to no-one”.

Cardi B was the big winner at the BET Hip Hop Awards, taking five trophies including Single of the Year for Bodak Yellow.

Kendrick Lamar took four awards, including Album of the Year and DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj and JAY-Z were also successful.

Eminem Demolishes Donald Trump In Explosive BET Hip-Hop Awards Freestyle

[ad_1]

About a year ago, Eminem dropped a furious, eight-minute song called “Campaign Speech” that railed against then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his supporters. Then, earlier this year, he popped up on Big Sean’s “No Favors” to tell the world that “Trump’s a bitch / I’ll make his whole brand go under.”

The rapper’s views on Trump have long been clear (and a matter of record), but his appearance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Tuesday night (October 10) demolished any lingering doubts about his opinions: Marshall Mathers fucking hates the president, and he knows he’s not the only one.

In a video freestyle Em himself calls “The Storm” that aired during the show, Eminem — standing in a Detroit parking garage — takes aim straightaway with his opening lines: “That’s an awfully hot coffee pot / Should I dump it on Donald Trump? / Probably not / But that’s all I got ’til I come up with a solid plot.”

From there, the rapper lobs shots at Trump for how the president has emboldened racists and disrespected the military with his own comments (“I like people who weren’t captured.”) while masquerading as a flag-defending patriot against NFL athletes who kneel during the national anthem.

Em’s solution is clear, and in proposing it, he evokes Colin Kaepernick specifically: “Fuck that! This is for Colin, ball up a fist! / And keep that shit balled like Donald the bitch!”

Near the end of the freestyle, he also takes aim directly at his own fans who continue to support Trump despite the president’s despicable behavior that could, as Em puts it, “probably cause a nuclear holocaust.”

And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his
I’m drawing in the sand a line, you’re either for or against
And if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split
On who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for you with this:
Fuck you!

After the video hit, the internet exploded. Since its uploading on Wednesday night, it’s already racked up 4.3 million YouTube views and was the site’s No. 1 trending video. But most notably, it caught the attention of Kaepernick as well as LeBron James, who recently referred to the president as a “bum.”

Eminem’s ninth studio album is slated to arrive sometime soon.

Eminem Blasts Trump in Furious Freestyle – Variety

[ad_1]

Eminem did not mince words when he went after President Donald Trump in a freestyle rap broadcasted during the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Deemed “The Storm” by the Grammy-winning rapper, the cypher performance clocked in at nearly five minutes, in which Eminem referred to Trump as a “bitch,” and attacked him for his response to Charlottesville and his focus on NFL protestors.

“This is his form of distraction/ Plus, he gets an enormous reaction/ When he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that/ Instead of talking about Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada/ All of these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers,” he rapped.

Eminem also took aim at his Trump-supporting fans in the video, filmed Friday in his hometown of Detroit.

“And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his/ I’m drawing in the sand a line/ You’re either for or against,” he continued. “And if you can’t decide who you like more in your split/ On who you should stand beside/ I’ll do it for you with this/ F— you.”

The rapper concluded by raising a fist in the air — which he said was for Colin Kaepernick, who set off the NFL controversy back in 2016 — and said,”The rest of America stand up. We love our military and we love our country, but we f—ing hate Trump.”
